A similar but more difficult game is played in Thurso. On the Esplanade at Thurso Beach are two flights of steps on the highesr section which also gets the biggest waves. The object is to run down one flight and run the 300ft or so to the other steps before the next set of waves come in. This is done at high tide when the waves consistantly hit the Esplanade wall. Such fun. |
